Collectively, NDC members have supported nearly 23,000 Colorado households by providing affordable homeownership and rental opportunities, and have served many more through housing counseling and other community programs.
Archway Communities operates rental housing communities throughout the Denver Metro Area. In addition to providing quality housing, Archway Communities is helping families improve their economic and social well-being by providing on-site services for adults and children. These include referrals to other community service providers, on-site food pantries, enrichment classes such as English as a Second language for adults as well as after school and summer programming for our children.
The Aurora Housing Authority (AHA) is committed to providing safe, decent, affordable housing to our community. AHA proudly serves many different groups including working families, single parents, disabled residents, seniors, people experiencing homelessness, and veterans.
AHA owns and manages hundreds of rental housing units and supports many other residents by administering HUD Housing Choice Vouchers – a tool to bridge the gap between normal rent and what people are able to pay.
Boulder Housing Partners (BHP) is the housing authority for the City of Boulder. We build, own and manage affordable housing for low and moderate income residents and we are committed to fostering a healthy sense of community in every property we develop. BHP serves a wide range of residents including households with children, seniors, and people with disabilities. The majority of those we serve have a household income that is less than 30% of the area median income.
Brothers Redevelopment is a Denver-based nonprofit that provides housing and housing-related services for the region’s low-income, elderly, and disabled residents. We have Brothers’ Resident Service coordinators at several properties to provide health and wellness, recreation, transportation, and educational services, Brothers’ Senior Services Coordination to empower Colorado seniors to age in place, and we offer housing counseling and education for prospective and current homeowners.
Colorado Coalition for the Homeless (CCH) works to prevent homelessness and create long-term, sustainable solutions for homeless and at-risk families, children, and individuals throughout Colorado. CCH operates permanent supportive housing and affordable housing properties, provides various health services including mental and behavioral healthcare, offers an array of supportive services, and advocates and educates at the local and state level on policy solutions for homelessness.
Colorado Housing Assistance Corporation (CHAC) works to help make housing and homeownership affordable to low- and moderate-income Coloradans. CHAC offers homeownership counseling and education to prospective home-buyers and current homeowners who are experiencing financial challenges. Additionally, CHAC offers financial assistance through a Down Payment Assistance Program available across Colorado for first time homebuyers earning at or below 80% of the area median income.
Community Resources & Housing Development Corporation (CRHDC) is a non-profit organization that has worked in both rural and urban communities in Colorado providing home and asset building opportunities. CRHDC has overseen the construction of “Self-Help” homes for low-to-moderate income households, farm worker housing, and affordable multi-family housing across Colorado. CRHDC also provides homeownership counseling, education, and lending services to low income households.
Del Norte Neighborhood Development Corporation is a non-profit organization established to address housing needs and create economic development opportunities in the City of Denver. To date, Del Norte has developed hundreds of multifamily units with the majority of those units made affordable for low-income renters. Del Norte strives to serve underserved communities such as moderate to low income residents, Spanish- speaking individuals and families, and people with disabilities.
The Denver Housing Authority (DHA) is a quasi-municipal corporation that develops units and administers housing choice vouchers to provide affordable housing to very low, low, and middle income individuals in the City of Denver. Today, DHA’s vision has been honed to reflect the goal that every individual or family shall have quality and affordable housing, in communities offering empowerment, economic opportunity, and a vibrant living environment.
Working with residents, businesses, civic leaders, area developers, and financing institutions, the Denver Urban Renewal Authority (DURA) provides financial assistance to support redevelopment activities throughout the city. These include single family home rehabilitation, emergency home repair, historic preservation, brownfield redevelopment, infill development, and neighborhood revitalization, among others, through their Housing and Redevelopment departments.
Elevation Community Land Trust (ECLT) makes homeownership more accessible for Colorado families through the community land trust model a tool which creates and preserves accessible, inclusive communities for generations. ECLT is one of the largest land trusts in Colorado, focused on acquiring or developing permanently affordable homes. Together with other public and private organizations, ECLT is expanding homeownership opportunities across Colorado.
Globeville, Elyria-Swansea (GES) Coalition Organizing for Health and Housing Justice is a group of resident leaders and community organizations working to align community health and the well-being of our neighbors through advocacy campaigns to prevent displacement of our neighbors, activate resident-driven leadership, protect historically marginalized neighborhoods, preserve affordability in housing, and promote a culture that welcomes neighbors who values our longstanding culture, interconnectedness, and commitment to equity. GES incubated Tierra Colectiva GES, a community land trust located in north Denver’s GES neighborhoods to prevent displacement through community-ownership of land and access to affordable and accessible housing.
Habitat for Humanity Metro Denver builds and sells homes to people who have struggled to access homeownership. The Habitat model is grounded in ‘sweat equity’ and the organization has partnered with thousands of volunteers and future homeowners to build homes in the Denver area. Additionally, Habitat Metro Denver manages some of their homes in the community land trust model and they are building accessory dwelling units in partnership with the West Denver Renaissance Collaborative.

Maiker Housing Partners is disrupting generational poverty through socially conscious community development as the Housing Authority in Adams County. Maiker is committed to addressing the systemic injustice that is the root of poverty. They approach this challenge by creating a pipeline of high-quality affordable housing, facilitating community building to impact change, and focusing on individual strengths so members can create the life they aspire to live.
Mercy Housing is one of the nation’s largest affordable housing organizations and one of only a few national organizations that provide housing for all low- and moderate-income populations. Mercy acquires and renovates existing housing and develops new affordable rental properties. They have the ability to handle every aspect of affordable real estate development including project financing, community outreach and planning, construction management, property management and asset management.
Montbello Organizing Committee (MOC) is focused on galvanizing and cultivating Montbello stakeholders and resident leaders to proactively address the critical issues affecting their quality of life. Work includes:

NEWSED is a Community Development Corporation, which has served the Denver community since 1973. NEWSED promotes the economic success of underserved populations through community development with a focus on affordable housing, small businesses, and asset creation. NEWSED has a long history of developing commercial, residential, and mixed use real estate that has been the driving force behind their efforts in the creation of a bricks and mortar approach to economic development.
Northeast Denver Housing Center (NDHC) works to create sustainable, healthy housing opportunities for underserved households through outreach, education and housing development. NDHC offers housing counseling, homebuyer education, develops and operates affordable rental housing, and administers Temporary Rent and Utility Assistance for the City of Denver.
Rocky Mountain Communities (RMC) is a nonprofit corporation that has been providing affordable housing and resident services to Colorado families for over 25 years. RMC has leveraged resources and partnerships to invest in resident-focused affordable housing solutions across Colorado. RMC develops, owns, and manages housing communities in which they also offer services and programming that promote youth success, adult-self sufficiency, and elderly independence.
Urban Land Conservancy (ULC) is a nonprofit organization that makes real estate investments for the long-term benefit of Metro Denver communities. ULC focuses on the development of permanent affordable space through the community land trust (CLT) model. Through the acquisition, development and preservation of real estate in urban areas, ULC supports neighborhoods with community assets such as schools, affordable housing, community centers and nonprofit facility space.
WellPower (formerly Mental Health Center of Denver) provides treatment, prevention, outreach, and crisis services to children, families and adults. Part of ensuring both individual and community health and well-being is through establishing stable, affordable, and safe housing offered with a comprehensive array of clinical and supportive services. WellPower operates residential treatment houses, apartment buildings, and also has a Housing Department which works to help people find and retain housing.
