Jonathan Cappelli
Executive Director
Jonathan has worked with NDC for nearly a decade and has served as the organization’s Executive Director since 2016. Prior to his work with NDC, Jonathan worked in real estate acquisition & development, and organizational capacity building. He has a Master’s of Urban and Regional Planning from the University of Colorado, Denver, and a BA in Political Science and Environmental Science from St. Olaf College, MN.
Maggie Lea
Program Director
Maggie serves NDC as Programs Director, leading our grant-funded programs, communications, and partner engagement. Maggie joined NDC to drive community-owned and benefitting real estate work to ensure housing solutions and equitable development prioritize existing communities. Maggie previously worked for Mile High Connects where she was focused on housing, transit and economic opportunity. She has a Master’s of Arts in Conflict Resolution from the University of Denver, and a Bachelor’s of Arts in Psychology from Duke University.
Lukas Hagan
Research and Policy Manager
Lukas tracks and analyzes local policies across the Front Range, organizes NDC’s local advocacy efforts, and leads research projects that inform NDC’s policy initiatives. Lukas holds a BS in urban planning from Michigan State University and an MPP from the University of Michigan. He previously worked in new construction and home preservation with Habitat for Humanity in Denver.
Augustina Remedios
Operations Manager
Augustina serves as NDC’s Operations Manager, supporting the team and members through member engagement, coordination, event planning, and grants administration. Prior to her work with NDC, Augustina was an AmeriCorps VISTA Volunteer in Lake County, Colorado. Her experience has included creating and marketing housing programs with Chaffee Housing Trust, advocacy for housing policy, and work with the Housing Authority of the City of Leadville through Lake County Build A Generation.
